A House For All Nations
Hello, and thanks for visiting us at this site. The All Nations
Church is the place where "You are always Welcomed, Wanted and
Appreciated." You and your family's spiritual welfare is our
chief concern. For it is as a person relates to God at the
deepest level that they are able to relate to people at the
highest level. Come worship with us, together we'll share God's
Message, our hearts, hands and a future filled with all the
gifts and abundances that God himself has provided for mankind.
Mother Porter and I lead a very enthusiastic, committed and
loving group of believers. Come with us and we will do you
good!!

About
All Nations COGIC
The All Nations Church began 1963 as a gathering of
children under a tree at 10th & Federal Housing
Projects. The aim was to gather the wandering and
seemingly aimless children on Saturday afternoon to
teach them the Sunday School lesson.
That group grew until parents were coming and asking for
a building in which to meet. A meeting place was secured
and Sunday and weekly services began. As with any
startup, we too had to move some seven times before we
could secure a "Church Building". In 1969 we purchased
our first building. Then a second one, a third one, and
finally a fourth and permanent one. This part of the
"saga" covered 37 years. Pastor and Mother Porter were
called of God to the "Bishopric" of the Jurisdiction of
Montana and serving as the Chairman of PROMISE KEEPERS,
they felt led of God to place their third son (Elder
Arthur Porter) as pastor of All Nations in the year
2000.
In October 2005, when the All Nations name had been
changed to "New Nation", Bishop felt a God-tug at his
heart to revive the name of All Nations, for its task
had not been completed. To the glory of God, the present
All Nations is on the rise in Spirit and number.
All Nations as always, is a multi-faceted ministry,
reaching out to feed the poor, clothe the naked, visit
the prisoners, the sick and the shut-in. We support home
and foreign Missionaries. The print and electronic media
is a vital part of this outreach. All Nations is
partnering to provide affordable housing, Jobs and job
training. Our ministry is family oriented with a high
emphasis on Men and Youth.
About
Bishop Porter
Bishop Phillip H.
Porter Jr. is the founder of All Nations
Pentecostal Church of God in Christ in Aurora, Colorado.
In addition to serving as founder of Colorado Consumers
For Affordable Energy, he's involved in many groups
supporting a variety of causes, and also hosts a Denver
radio show called It's Prayer Time.
Porter, a native of Enid, Okla., came to Colorado in
1959 after graduating with a degree in sociology from
Phillips University in Enid, where he was the first
African-American student. He founded the All Nations
congregation in 1963 and served as pastor until April
1999, when he appointed his son pastor and took over the
role of Senior Pastor/Bishop.
Porter is a former chairman of Promise Keepers, a men's
Christian group founded by former University of Colorado
football coach Bill McCartney. Porter, who chaired the
group from 1994-1999, was instrumental in organizing the
group's stadium rallies that drew thousands of men. He
is chairman emeritus of the Promise Keepers board of
directors and also serves in the ministry's Strategic
Alliance.
In 2003, Porter joined Alan Keyes, Jerry Falwell, Pat
Robertson, Tony Perkins, Gary Bauer and others as an
"original signer" of a petition to "Save the Ten
Commandments," after federal courts ordered Alabama's
then-Chief Justice Roy Moore to remove a granite
monument featuring the commandments from the state
courthouse.
In 2004, Porter served on a committee investigating
football recruiting practices at the University of
Colorado after a series of incidents involving the
football program led to an overhaul in the athletics
department. The investigation into the incidents led to
the resignation of school president Elizabeth Hoffman.
Porter is considered one of Colorado's foremost
religious leaders. He was ordained bishop in the Church
of God in Christ in 1992. He has been active with the
Urban League, Citizens Concerned About Minorities in
Aurora, and other groups.
He founded the Coalition of Black Clergy of Aurora and
has served on the boards of directors for Seniors Inc.,
Evangelical Concern and Open Door Youth Gang
Alternatives, along with Citizens Concerned About
Minorities in Aurora. He is also a member of the boards
of the Aurora Youth Gang Task Force, Metropolitan Denver
Ministerial Alliance, and Alliance for Choice in
Education.
The
bishop is co-author of
Better Men, released in 1998, and he authored the
later Better Men On The Path To Purity, as well as
Let the Walls Fall Down. According to Amazon.com,
Better Men, "...speaks to the growing hunger
demonstrated by millions of men who are seeking to
become godly fathers and husbands and reclaim a role of
honor and integrity in society. This book not only
speaks to the millions of men who seek to become godly
fathers and husbands, but offers a powerful voice for
racial reconciliation within the Christian community."
Bishop Porter has been married for more than 50 years to
wife Edgar Lee (Moye) Porter. They have eight children
(five sons and three daughters), 14 grandchildren, and
two great-grandchildren.
