Prayer Requests

The most important thing we, as a family, can do for one another is to hold one anther up in prayer. This forum is for your prayer requests and for praise reports of answered prayer. For those seeking encouragement, for those going through trials. Share your experiences and make your requests known to the Household of Faith, that we can collectively touch and agree and seek the Lord together.

Online Donations

Emmanuel now has an account with PayPal, the world's largest and most trusted online payment processing system. Emmanuel can now safely and securely process credit card and check payments through our website. Donors do NOT need a PayPal account to use this feature, and Emmanuel does NOT have access to their financial information. In Phase I of implementing this system, only Project Nehemiah pledges and contributions can be paid via PayPal by logging onto [bold, omit "http"] godiswithus.org/donate[/bold]. In the coming weeks, we will phase in the full implementation of this convenient system, which will offer members and friends the opportunity to make purchases (currently limited to CDs, tapes) and pay tithes and offerings. We will also offer merchandise (books, shirts, etc.) for sale online. If you have suggestions for items to be listed online, contact Deacon Hagans.

Meeting David Wilson

“Meeting David Wilson” tracks David A. Wilson’s journey to North Carolina to meet David B. Wilson, a descendant of the white Southern family that owned his ancestors during the slavery era. This is a powerful and poignant documentary that examines the origins, cause and effect of racism in America, as well the role of society and the African American church. It is an important and vital film I urge all Emmanuel to see. If you missed it’s airing on NBC last weekend, you can click here to view the documentary online at MSNBC.Com. The film is followed by an hour-long Town Hall Meeting from Howard University featuring a lively discussion by some of the greatest minds in social justice today. I urge you to not miss this powerful and moving examination of our history and challenges that face us today.

The Reverend Cleveland A. Thompson
Senior Pastor
